Predeceased by her parents, Modesto and Juanita Vega. Her sister Alisha. 

Survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Stanley E. Wood. Her sons, Ruri, Ruben Jr. (Vicki), Jose Anthony, Miguel Cotto, Michael E. Wood.

Sister, Ruth (Anthony). Many nieces, nephews, many dear friends.

Evelina was "Miss Puerto Rico" 1963. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

The family will receive friends 4-6pm, Tuesday September 15, 2026 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (west of Long Pond Rd.) On Wednesday, assemble at the Lake Ave. gate of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 9:15am for her Memorial Service to be held in Christ Our Light Mausoleum. Inurnment will be upper room 216.
