Frances Beth McLaughlin died peacefully at the age of 57 on December 31, 2015 surrounded by family and friends.
Fran was a lifelong resident of Rochester, NY, and always enjoyed gardening, bonfires, music, road trips and spending time outdoors. Fran was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother and friend. Her deep love and infectious sense of humor touched everyone around her. She spent many years as a stay-at-home mom and later inspired all as she held a full-time job while successfully managing a full college course load. Fran utilized her professional skills working for the Bursar's Office at the University of Rochester. The last several years found Frannie spending time with her kids, caring for her grandchildren, traveling to Florida and NYC, and relishing in laughter and fun with family and friends.
Frances is survived by her sisters Christine (Dave) Costa, Lynne (Ed) Millhofer and Kathleen McLaughlin; life-long friend, Eileen Ingham; children, Stephanie (Tim) Bower, Shawn Hibbs and Jessica (James) Rafferty; grandchildren, Austin, Ashley, Landon and Reed; and her beloved dog, Lucy.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John's the Evangelist Church located at 2400 West Ridge Road, Rochester, New York 14626.
Friends and family may honor Fran's memory with a donation to the Wilmont Cancer Institute, University of Rochester Medical Center, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Box 704, Rochester, NY 14642.
