Frank Pabis, a cherished son, and devoted father, passed away on Tuesday January 13, 2026, at Rochester General Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love. Born on February 8, 1975, in Rochester, New York, Frank was a man of considerable skill and unwavering pride in his work as a painter. His dedication was reflected not only in his craft but also in the profound connections he cultivated with his family and friends.
Having earned an associate degree, Frank combined his education with a natural talent for painting. He was not merely a painter; he was a dedicated painter passionate and diligent, demonstrating a commitment to excellence that was evident in all of his work.
Frank's personality was one that resonated warmth and compassion. A devoted father, he reveled in his role as a parent, cherishing the moments spent with his children—Alyssa (Andrew) Smith, Jordan Pabis, Courtney Pabis, and Frank Pabis. His granddaughter, Aria Smith. Additionally, Frank shared a close bond with his parents, Kathy and Frank Pabis, who nurtured his spirit and creativity.
His familial ties also extended to his brother and sister-in-law, Christopher Todd Pabis and Angela Pabis, along with an adoring network of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, who will carry forward his legacy of love and light. Frank’s friendships were equally significant; he held dear the companionship of special friend Jonelle Bassford and his faithful companion, Blitz, who stood by him through thick and thin.
Frank was also a sports aficionado, harboring a love for football, especially for the Miami Dolphins. The joy of fishing with both of his sons and the camaraderie of baseball filled his days with happiness, allowing him to blend his love for nature and family.
A Celebration of Frank's life, will be held on January 25, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626. In this moment of remembrance, we shall celebrate a life marked by creativity, love for family, and an insatiable passion for every experience life had to offer.
Frank Pabis will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the vibrant memories he created and the love he so generously shared. May he rest in peace, forever embraced by the love of those he cherished.
