Rochester: Passed away peacefully Thursday, May 23, 2013 at age 81 in the presence of her family. She was predeceased by her parents, Max and Ida Fink; and brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons, Steven (Patricia), Donald (Rita); daughter, Karen; granddaughter, Kelly; sisters, Abigail Hirsch, Selma DiPonzio; brother, Robert Fink; and many nieces, nephews and friends, especially Alma Troiano. Freida was a member of Temple Emanuel, an officer of the Ladies Auxiliary of Jewish War Veterans, a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company after 25 years of service, a volunteer usher at Geva, Blackfriars, RBTL, JCC and Meals on Wheels. She will always be remembered as a selfless mother, good friend and closest thing to an Angel on earth. Mom, we will miss your heart, your love, your smile, your humor and your cheesecake.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 29th from 5-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Interment will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be directed to charity of the donors choice.
