With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of George B. Kuretich, 77, of Rochester, NY, who left this world on March 31, 2026, surrounded by family.
Born on February 15, 1949, in Rochester, NY, to Bernard and Jean Kuretich, George lived a life rooted in love, loyalty, and laughter. From his earliest days, it was clear he carried a spirit that filled everyone around him with joy.
George devoted his life to his family and was known for his many beautiful qualities—loyalty, generosity, laughter, resilience, and compassion. Whether through his hilarious Donald Duck impersonations, talking gibberish that only he understood, or warmly taking on a ready-made family, he made the world a softer, brighter, and funnier place.
He found great joy in simple pleasures and lively pastimes. George loved bowling, was a die-hard football fan who passionately cheered on the Green Bay Packers, and never missed the excitement of WWE wrestling. To know George was to share in his enthusiasm—whether cheering from the couch or rolling a perfect strike.
Above all, George cherished his wife and family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Geri, his children Tamara and Jeff, his grandchildren Jessica, Joshua, Rebecca, Jake, Marisa, Khaleef, and Jennae, and his great-grandchildren Miles, Harper, Sawyer, Elias, Ezekiel George, Lincoln, and Brielle. He is also survived by his sisters Coleen (John) Magnanti and Linda (Peter) Socia as well as many nieces and nephews.
Though our hearts ache, we find comfort knowing he is reunited with his parents Bernard and Jean Kuretich, his brother Dennis Kuretich, his sister Debbie(Hodgie) Incardone, and his beloved pup Kahlua—“it’s my boy”—who welcomed him home.
To know George was to feel joy. His memory lives on in every shared laugh, every Packers touchdown cheer, every bowling night story, and every moment of love he so freely gave.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions to the George B. Kuretich Memorial Fund. Online at: https://venmo.com/u/KuretichFamilyFund. These gifts will help support his family during this difficult transition and help continue his legacy of love and support for those he cherished most.

George’s legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love will continue to shine through all who knew and loved him. Rest easy, Slick, Bubba, Papa, we’ll carry your spirit with us always.
