Greece: Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the age of 84, suddenly went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Predeceased by his son, Rickey; parents, Frank and Anna Hasman; brothers, Edward, Frank and Clarence; sisters, Alice, Doris and Mary Anne.
Gerry is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Geri; sons, Dale (Deanna), Alan (MaryJane), and Craig; step-children, Paul (Lisa) Barletta, Karen Barletta and David (Debbie) Barletta; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brothers, Norman and Leonard; sister-in-law, Diane Cerone along with many dear friends.
Gerry was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had a life long passion for flying and became a CFII (Certified Flight Instrument Instructor) and the recipient of the Wright Bros. Master Pilot Award. Gerry shared his passion for flying with over 300 of his students receiving their Pilot's Licenses. Gerry was an active member of First Bible Baptist Church, and served in many areas within the church.
Friends may join the family in a Celebration of Gerry's Life at First Bible Baptist Church, 990 Manitou Rd., Hilton, NY 14468 on Friday evening, October 4th at 7 PM, followed by a reception.
