Gerald R. Jones Jr.

Jerry Jones Jr., born December 13, 1956, in Scranton, Pennsylvania passed away on May 25, 2026. He later made his home in Rochester, and spent his professional career working for Rochester Telephone.

Beyond his career, Jerry was well known for his passion for local theater, spending many years involved in productions throughout the Rochester area. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, he brought energy, creativity, and joy to those around him.

He was predeceased by his parents, Gerald Jones Sr. and Elizabeth Jones, and by his sister, Robin Jones.

Jerry is survived by his daughters: Erin Pfund and her husband Adam, along with their children Sam and Libby; and Magen LaPierre and her husband Dave, along with their children Abby and Morgan.

Jerry will be remembered for his humor, his quick wit, and his wicked sense of humor that could brighten any room. He loved making people laugh and brought warmth and personality wherever he went.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
