Giacomo Cardella

Giacomo Cardella, 76, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026. Born on January 4, 1950, in Alia, Sicily, Giacomo carried the traditions, values, and spirit of his homeland throughout his life. He built a life centered on family, hard work, and sharing good food with those he loved. A dedicated pizza shop owner, Giacomo took great pride in serving his community. He was passionate about winemaking, cooking, and music, and found joy in bringing people together around a table filled with food, laughter, and conversation. His generosity, strong work ethic, and love for family left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Giacomo is survived by his sons, Joe Cardella and James Cardella; his sister, Maria Guagenti; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during calling hours on June 16th, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 2 Empire Blvd with a brief service to follow. Though he is no longer with us, Giacomo's legacy of love, family, tradition, and hospitality will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
