Gina M. LeBerth, born on March 27, 1960, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by resilience, warmth, and unfailing generosity. Gina’s vibrant spirit touched all who knew her, from her first days through the many decades she shared with family, friends, and neighbors.

Gina was the beloved daughter of the late Theresa and Felix Contestabile, and cherished sister to Susan (Dave) Fischer, Lino (Eileen) Contestabile, and William (Patricia) Contestabile. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John D. LeBerth, who shared in her joys and life’s challenges with unwavering partnership.

Her greatest pride and joy was her daughter, Angelene LeBerth (Casey Wagner), whose bond with her mother was a testament to their love and mutual respect. The memories they created together remain a profound source of comfort and inspiration for those who knew Gina’s devotion as a mother and also a very devoted grandmother to Jacob and Bella, who added an extra sparkle to her life.

Known affectionately for her independent spirit and lively personality, Gina was often described as a “wild child,” embracing life with enthusiasm and an open heart. Her zest for living was evident in her many interests and passions, including a talent for gardening and a deep affection for animals. Gina was a loyal supporter of the Buffalo Bills, sharing in every victory and defeat with the same spirited optimism she brought to all aspects of her life.

Sundays at the LeBerth home were marked by her famous Sunday Sauce dinners or pizza, but please take your shoes off before entering—a tradition that gathered loved ones around her table for laughter, good food, and unforgettable stories. These moments spoke to Gina’s love for her family and her gift for turning ordinary days into lasting memories. Music and laughter filled her home, shaping the environment in which her family and friends felt welcomed and at ease.

Beyond her home life, Gina was known for her kindness and generosity. She dedicated time to volunteering and helping others, always willing to contribute wherever she was able. This genuine commitment to her community reflected her caring nature and the deep empathy that guided her actions.

Gina’s absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family and friends. Yet the memories of her independent spirit will continue to sustain those who loved her.

A visitation will take place on July 17, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at the New Comer Funeral Home, Eastside, located at 6 Empire Blvd, Rochester, NY 14609. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, celebrate Gina’s life, and honor the enduring legacy she leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lollypop Farm or Macedon Volunteer Ambulance.

She was, and always will be, an inspiration to all fortunate enough to have known her.
