Was called to be with her Lord on Monday, May 11, 2015. She died peacefully at Highland Hospital. Gloria had recently celebrated her 86th Birthday on Easter Sunday. A deeply religious woman of faith. Gloria was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. Gloria was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Robert P. Hanrahan, Sr.; her daughter, Mary Kay who died as a infant; her sister, Rosemary Johnston and her brothers, Captain Richard Weir and Melvin L. Weir. Gloria is survived by her daughters, Marsha L. Petrie and Shari Brisson; sons, Bob Jr. (Karen), David and Kevin Hanrahan; granddaughters, Rache (Michael) Hare, Michelle (Louis) Piure, Crystal (Brandon) Burris; grandson, Brandon V. Hanrahan; and 6 great-grandchildren; she is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Mrs. Carol Hoak of Buffalo and Mrs. Joyce A. Weir of FL.; many
nieces, nephews, cousins; especially Sr. Kathy Kane.
Gloria worked for over 20 years at Smith and Maxson Civil Engineers.
A member of Corpus Christi Churchfor over 50 years. Gloria was also a member of the Legion of Mary and Catholic Golden Age. She was a very avid viewer of EWTN.
Family will receive friends Thursday, May 14th from 3-7PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. Gloria's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11AM at Our Lady of the Americas at Corpus Christi Church at the corner of Main and Prince St. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to St. Kateri Tekawitha Parish.
