Passed away on May 31, 2026 at the age of 92.

Predeceased by her father, Carmine Leone & mother, Maria Montuori; brother, Vincenzo Leone.

She is survived by her children, Tommaso (Lori) Speranza, Carmine Speranza, Eva (Stefano) Accordo, Roberto (Susy) Speranza, Maria (Domenico) Notarpasquale, Paola (Robert) Garrick & Joanne (Kenneth) Spicci; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; other family members, Vincenzo Labbra, Rosemary Seeber, Emma Ruggiero & Mark Mazzochetti Sr.; many nieces, nephews, cousins & extended family in Italy.

She was born in Naples, Italy. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. Gifted with remarkable talent and creativity, she worked as a professional seamstress and could create nearly anything she set her mind to-from christening dresses to cherished handmade keepsakes. Her skilled hands were rarely still, whether she was sewing, crocheting, knitting, or lovingly crafting blankets, hats, bibs, and outfits to welcome each new baby into the family. She was especially known for her Italian cookies, which were true works of art and a treasured tradition for those who knew and loved her. Resilient, passionate, and deeply devoted to those she held dear, she leaves behind a legacy woven with love, generosity, and family.

A Mass (to be determined) will be held at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 North Greece Road, Rochester, NY, 14626.

Interment to immediately follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY, 14612.
