Gustavo E. "Gus" Calderon

Gates: Passed away on Monday, April 15th, 2013 at age 79. Predeceased by his father and mother, Erasmo and Vincenta Calderon; brother, Cesar Cedeno and sisters, Elsa and Lusmila Calderon. He is survived by his sister, Nelva (Perry) Thalassinos; brother, Jorge (Cora) Calderon; children, Boris (Wanda), Darren (Maria) and Tamara Calderon (Jeff Holtz); beloved grandchildren, Paul and Rachel Calderon; great-grandson, Logan Gage and his parents, Tina Marie and Justin Gage; nieces and nephews.

Gus touched the lives of many utilizing his Masters Degree in Counseling and Human Services for the New York State Department of Corrections. His tireless efforts to help troubled souls reflects his kind heart and desire to do good in the world. We celebrate his life with fond memories of his lively sense of humor, unique perspective and compassionate heart.

Friends may call Wednesday April 17th from 2-3PM at St. Judes the Apostle Parish, 4100 Lyell Rd. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 3PM.
