Halbert B. Sullivan Jr.

Halbert Brandon Sullivan, Jr., affectionately known as J.R., was born on April 5, 1983 in Rochester, NY to Vivian Harrison and Halbert Sullivan, Sr.

During his youth, J.R. played pop warner football with the Tenth Ward Tigers and enjoyed the family fishing vacations to Hastings, Ontario, Canada. He attended Greece Athena High School, Rochester, NY. He graduated in 1999. J.R. enjoyed spending time with his children, body building, sports, his favorite NFL team – the Philadelphia Eagles – and spending time with friends.

On November 30, 2002, J.R. married Andrea Walker having two children – Israel Nazir Sullivan and Mary Jayne Sullivan.

He established Emerge Contracting & Property Management in 2007, with a portfolio of local and national clients. J.R. was a very mild mannered young man with an insatiable desire to learn from and help others. A man with a good heart and pure intentions, he loved his family, his wife, and most of all, his children.

He joined the Father in glory on April 26, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife, Andrea S. Sullivan, three children – Israel N. Sullivan, Mary J. Sullivan, Takhya Boose; Mother – Vivian Harrison-Elliott; Father – Vernon Elliott; Biological Father – Halbert Sullivan, Sr.; Brother – James D. Harrison; Sister – Unique Sullivan; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law – Charles and Darcelle Walker; Aunts – Violet Harrison and Patricia Harrison; Uncles – Willie Harrison and Walter Harrison; In-laws - Diamond Walker, Taria (Roosevelt) Washington, Toi (Damiano)Smith, Cuevas (Sarah)Walker; Best Friend – Reggie White, Extended Family - Darlene Kennedy and Terrie Kennedy, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
