Helen A. Strem
November 8, 1926 — March 5, 2016
Rochester:
It is with heavy hearts filled with happy memories that we announce the passing of our Mother at the age of 89.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry, daughter Patricia, siblings Stella, Leo and Bernice.
She is survived by her children Sharon (Dennis) Jacob, Lorri Strem (David Gebhardt), Dennis (Gwen) Strem. Grandchildren Rhonda Shea (Edward Kusher), Brandyn (Amy) Jacob, Peter Lincoln, Eleni Kontos, Bryce and Kelsey Gebhardt. Great grandchildren Eric, Evan, Tyler, Patrick and Emma. Sister Vicki (Ray) Mielcarek, brother Joe (Phyllis) Krzanowicz, sister-in-law Anna Krzanowicz, many nieces, nephews and cousins from NY and PA.
Helen retired from Rochester Products in the early 1990's and was an a avid gardener. She was kind and compassionate and loved her family above all else. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hastings 2 at St John's Home for their thoughtful and caring ways.
Friends may call from 4-7 pm on Wednesday March 9th, 2016 At Newcomer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd, Rochester NY 14609. A mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday March 10th, at 10am at St. Stanislaus Church, 1124 Hudson Ave, Rochester, NY 14621.
Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery immediately following the church service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Stanislaus Church or St. John's Home. Please consider performing an act of kindness in her memory.
