Irondequoit: Dearly loved husband, father, grandfather and friend died on Thursday, September 8, 2011. Predeceased by his parents, Cecila and Carl John Hagen; sons, Andrew and James Hagen. Survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Martha J.; his son, Henry II; daughters, Faith Tone (Fred), Catherine Franklin (Steven), Deborah Palmer and Lorelie Rogers; step-son, Steven Clayton;
21 grandchildren and 36 greatgrandchildren.
Mr. Hagen was employed with Davenport Machine Tool for 36 years. He worked as a foreman for over 20 years, retiring in 1991. He was an Orleans County resident
for 30 years coming back to the Rochester area in 1983. He was
a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Holley, the Brockport
Elks Club and a member of St. Mary's Church in Holley, NY for 30
years. A past President of the Holy Name Society. He served as an
Eucharistic Minister in Hulberton and formed the Western New York
Bocce Association there receiving a lifetime membership in the
International Bocce Association. Henry was with the Boy Scouts
of America for 22 years in the Orleans district serving as a neighborhood
commissioner and district commissioner of cub scouting. He
was also a commissioner for 21 years with the Fancher/Hulberton
and Murray Fire Company. A Mass of Christian Burial will
be offered Monday, September 12, 2011 at 10 AM at St. Salome's
Church, 4282 Culver Road. Interment will be private. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be sent to Sunset House, 3746 St. Paul
