Hilda J. Rissew

Hilda held onto her strong Christian beliefs as she passed away with no fear on July 2, 2025 at the age of 92.

She is predeceased by husband, Donald P. Rissew; parents, Raymond and Verda Maines.

Hilda is survived by her children, Charles Rissew Sr., Steven (Jessica) Rissew, Tina (Philip) Smith, Gerald Rissew; many grandchildren, great-children and great-great-children; siblings, Norma Hopkins, Stanley (Helen) Maines, Dennis (Ruth Ann) Maines; many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, July 8th from 4-6PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Hilda's Funeral Service will immediately follow at 6PM.

Private interment at Joslyn Cemetery.

Hilda was known for her attention to fine detail while crafting.  She had an eye for the perfect stitch - whether it be a knit n' pearl or a single crochet.  Hilda also made beautiful paintings on flat stones that will always be remembered. There was a special place in her heart for all animals. Her love will live on in all who knew her.
