Howard Nelson Sr.

Passed away on, June 6, 2024 with family at his bedside at the age of 86.
Predeceased by his loving wife, Eulalie.
He is survived by his children, Howard Nelson Jr., Anthony Nelson, Sharon Nelson, Lenard Nelson, Persephone Nelson, Quentin Nelson and Andre Nelson; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Jessie Mae Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, & friends.
Howard was born in Charleston, SC, on September 29, 1937. In 1952 Howard married Eulalie Nelson. They were married for 60 years and together they raised seven children. Howard worked for Eastman Kodak for over 25 years before retiring. In retirement Howard enjoyed spending time with family, traveling especially visiting home, & watching the Yankees. In his spare time Howard loved to do projects, tinkering, & meticulous lawn care.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester, NY 14626, on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 10:00am-12:00pm. A service will immediately follow at 12:00pm. Burial will be held at Westside Cemetery, Scottsville, NY.
