Ilic "Al" Genovese
Rochester: Passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 28th 2016 at age 91. He was predeceased by his wife, Josephine; daughter Janet Buonomo; brothers and parents. Survived by daughter, Marieanne Genovese; son, Alex (Susan) Genovese; grandchildren, Gene Buonomo & Lauren Genovese; nephew, Paul Genovese; niece, Gina Giannavola.
Al was a decorated WWII Army Air Corp Veteran, who served overseas in the 8th Air Force in England. Survived 30 missions over Germany.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Brighton Manor Nursing Home and Crimson Ridge for their wonderful care.
Family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Sunday, January 31st at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. A Graveside ceremony will be held at 11 AM on Monday February 1st, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Please plan on meeting at the Dewey Avenue entrance at 10:45.
