Lorraine, NY/Rochester: Peacefully went to the Lord with her family by her side on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013. She left her loving memories with us to be reunited with her husband, Helmuth H. Muerb; sister, Janet Schmid; parents, Herta & Gustav Zimmermann; aunt and uncle, Herman & Erna Riechelt. Ilse touched so many people with her laughter. Her contagious smile & unconditional love will live on with those she left behind: her children, Heidi Erickson (James Hess), Cindy (Ronald) Cotropia, Helmut (Donna) Muerb; her grandchildren, Joan (Sean) Westphal, Ronald Cotropia (Shannon Osika), Jennifer (Harold) Nelson, Georgianna (TJ) Irons, Christopher Erickson (Amanada JenneJohn), Christopher Payne, Angel Cotropia, Shannon Muerb, Erinn Muerb; and her 5 great-grandchildren. Ilse is also survived by her brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Walter & Rosemary Muerb; niece, Susan (Daniel) Borrelli; nephews, Wally (Marty) Muerb, Mark Muerb, William (Robin) Schmid; and many great-nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 14th from 4-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10 AM. Interment, Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Ilse's name may be directed to Lorraine Volunteer Fire Dept. Memorial Fund in memory of Ilse Muerb, PO Box 89, Lorraine, NY 13659.
