Ingeborg H. Redfield

Passed away on September 5, 2025 at the age of 90.

Ingeborg Hilde Redfield, née Grüber, was born in Tübingen, Germany, on July 28th, 1935. She lived in Germany until the age of 21 and received her education and diploma in Early Childhood Education.

In the year 1956, in July, she immigrated to the United States, lived in Rochester, N.Y., and worked as a teacher at the Rochester Children’s Nursery, where she met Roy N. Redfield. They were married on December 19th, 1959.

She is predeceased by her husband, Roy Redfield.

She is survived by her son, Jack (Mary), and daughter Carol (Michael), and stepdaughter Linda Redfield-Shakoor (Muhyi). Also surviving are grandchildren Lisa (T.J. Mayberry), Julie Bischoff, Phillip Redfield, Gregory Redfield, Melanie Redfield, Ibrahim Shakoor and Naila Shakoor; eight great-grandchildren, AJ, Tommy, Gabby, Claire, Natalie & Mason; and many more extended relatives.

Inge loved and served God, her family, and her church with all her heart, striving to fulfill God’s purpose for her life. She sought to win others to Christ. She was a Sunday school teacher and Bible study leader for many years. She was a lover of music and God’s Word, the Bible, which she held in highest esteem, reading it daily. Inge was a child of God, saved by the blood of Jesus and His grace.

Her life motto was: Philippians 4:4–7 “Rejoice in the Lord always…”

Family will receive friends Friday September 12, 2025 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, a funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd., Rochester, NY, 14609.

Interment will be held privately.
