Irene Theresa Beyer
On August 10, 2014 at 91 years old our little Mom with the big heart received her heavenly reward. She passed away peacefully at Leo Center at St. Ann's in Rochester New York.
Daughter of James and Anna, she was a child of the depression and taught us resilience and frugality and that life was meant to be embraced.
She was predeceased by husband Robert and 13 brothers and sisters; beloved mother of Elaine, Mary Anne (Tom), Robert, Nancy (Rick), and Douglas (Bonnie); loving grandmother of Dawn, Bill, Alicia, Richard and Trevor; treasured great grandmother to Josh and Andrew.
She attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and John Marshall High School and was a member of Mother of Sorrows Parish. She was also a graduate of Monroe County Community College. Irene was an avid skier, was a passionate fan of music and arts and enjoyed attending Rochester Philharmonic Pops concerts. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling, gardening and was a whiz at crossword and jumble word games. Most of all she cherished her time spent with family and friends.
Calling hours are Friday August 15 from 6 to 8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. followed by a Funeral Service at 8 PM.
