Jim's lifetime career was in police work. Initially with the FBI, then 30+ years he proudly served the people of Seneca County with the Sheriff's Department. He held positions of road patrol, youth officer, Investigator, Undersheriff and Chief Deputy.
Jim admired those who served to better this world through selfless services. He expressed great appreciation for those who dedicated themselves to the military, education, church and their community.
A Memorial Celebration of Jim's Life will be held on Saturday, December 13 at Noon at the American Legion located at 48 State Street, Seneca Falls. Greetings with the family can be made from 10:00 to Noon or after the memorial.
The children ask that friends and family share their memories and stories of their Dad at jamesdspike@gmail.com. If you would like to contribute or participate in the memorial contact us at 315-549-8725 or at the above email.
In lieu of flowers Jim requests that you make a donation to the "flowers of his life", Tyler, Kaitlyn, and Connor's college education expenses in care of Rene. My family is my legacy, they will continue to grow and bloom and do good in this world.
