"Uncle Jimmy"

We could not have asked for a better uncle. He was generous, kind, passionate about his sports team and a tough guy that any of his nieces and nephews would feel safe around.

Any of us that sat down and watched the Giants with him knew exactly how he would react if things didn’t go his team’s way. Watching him react was much more entertaining than watching the actual football game. Same goes for the Yankees. On the other hand, he was easy to laugh and all of his nieces and nephews loved him for his protective and kind heart.

Uncle Jimmy had lots of friends and he was definitely a popular guy around town. He was a better dancer than anybody we ever knew and a lot of women wanted to dance with him, but if he didn’t like someone that asked one of his nieces to dance, Well, then you’d see his tough side.

Uncle Jimmy loved his cars and he used to love his motorcycle. His favorite car was a Corvette. He had no problem letting some of his nieces or nephews that wanted to drive it give it a spin. He also taught some of us to drive and took us for our road test in his car.

His older nieces and nephews kind of grew up with him because he was just a kid when many of us were born. He bought some of us a bike or when he was younger he’d make a bike out of parts. He always loved all of his nieces and nephews you could see him in many pictures holding babies. He also had a few godchildren so he was popular when it came to that. There is much to say about Uncle Jimmy, too much to write here, but he was loved, respected and fun to be around. All of us will miss him dearly. He was the second father many of us needed. He was one of a kind. He will take much love with him and that’s probably the best anyone could hope.
