Irondequoit: Passed Thursday, April 23, 2015 at age 75. He was predeceased by his first wife, Gladys; second wife, Bethia; son, Mark and brother, Frank. He is survived by his children, James W. Monroe, Shannon L. Monroe, Scott D. Monroe, Matthew B. Monroe, Sarah (Eric) Kowalski, Allison (Christopher) Tuper, Justine (Frank) Farina, Nicholas K. Monroe, Jacob D. Monroe, Morgan B. Monroe; grandchildren, Noah, Ryan and Adam Williams, Matthew II and Isaiah Monroe, Benjamin, Emma and Lily Kowalski, Connor and Addison Farina and Cristian Tuper; 3 sisters; 6 brothers; and many nieces and nephews. James was a US Marine Corp. Veteran.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 27th from 4-8PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Interment will be Private. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Rochester Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Rd. S., Rochester, NY 14620.
