Janet George

Janet George passed away in her sleep on September 11, 2026. She was born on January 9, 1954. She will be remembered with love by those who knew her and by the family she held so dear.

One of Janet’s proudest accomplishments was her lifelong volunteer service with the Boy Scouts of America. That steady commitment reflected a life of care, generosity, and dedication to others, and it stands as a lasting part of the legacy she leaves behind.

Janet shared 51 years of marriage with her husband, Gerald George, and their long life together was a cherished part of her story. She is also survived by her son, Jason George. Her love continued through the next generation in her granddaughters, Lyra Violet George, Posie Mae George, and Penelopy Rose George, who were a special part of her family circle. She is also survived by her sisters, Pat Hoock and Deb Zarcone, whose bond with Janet remained an important part of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Gaudioso and Oraleota Powel Gaudioso.

Janet George will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her enduring marriage, and her many years of volunteer service. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her.
