Jeffrey P. Korts

Jeffrey P. Korts, a beloved member of the Rochester community, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, at the age of 70 in Spencerport, New York. Born on June 20, 1955, in Rochester, Jeffrey was known for his unwavering dedication to his family and his lifelong passion for the great outdoors.

Jeffrey had a notable career as a glass machinist, lending his skills and expertise to esteemed companies such as Eastman Kodak, Itt, and later L3Harris. Colleagues and friends remember him as a hardworking and committed professional who took pride in his craft.

Outside of his career, Jeffrey found joy in hiking and exploring the mountains. His love for nature and the beauty that surrounds it was a significant aspect of his life, and he often shared his enthusiasm for the outdoors with those close to him.

Jeffrey is survived by his daughter, Cailin Korts, and her husband Chris Perez; his son, Tyler R. Korts, and his wife Sabrena Korts; his sister, Pam Newbauer; and his nephew, Neil Newbauer. Each of them carries fond memories of Jeffrey, reflecting his nurturing spirit and the warm guidance he provided throughout their lives.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Andrew W. and Phyllis McGuckin Korts, as well as two brothers, Michael and Stefan Korts, who will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

A visitation will be held on January 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, Westside, located at 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626. It is a time for family and friends to gather, share their memories, and pay their respects to a man who touched so many lives.

Jeffrey P. Korts will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and adventurous spirit. His legacy will live on through his family and the countless lives he has influenced.
