Rochester: Joan found her way home to the Lord her Savior on June 3rd, 2015 at age 84, after a long and courageous battle with dementia. Joan is predeceased by her parents, Frank & Evelyn (Savage) Saxe; husband, Donald Dries; sisters, Dolores Burke, Arlene Kleisley, Shirley Semaru; brothers, Daune Saxe, Donald Saxe. Joan is survived by her loving daughter, best friend & care giver Mary Jo (Michael) Cowley; 2 step-daughters, Donnalee Dries & Karen Dries, who was much more than that, she was her daily lunch partner at MCH; 3 cherished grandsons, Brian, Ben & Brandon Cowley; loving step grandson, Marc Moracco; step great grandchildren, Tony & Torrie; brothers, Red (Betty) Saxe, Alan Saxe; loving sister, friend & constant visitor, Joyce Creegan; many nieces & nephews, A special Thank You to Angie Miller formerly of MCH & Dicey Wright at MCH for their constant care & compassion.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9 AM on Saturday, June 20th at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Ave., followed by interment at White Haven Memorial Park.
