Chili: Wednesday, January 4, 2012 unexpectedly at age 73. Predeceased by her husband, Bernard "Bud" Johnson.
She leaves behind her sons and their spouses, Mark (Sherry), Brian (Joanne), Brad (Karen); grandchildren, David (Christy), Robert, Matthew, Nicole and Adam; great-grandchild, Bradey; sister, Sheila (Doug) Montgomery; brothers, Darence (Jean) Hakey, Francis (Marge) Hakey; sister-in-law, Bernice (Carmine) Spiridigliozzi; her niece, Carol (David) Tessier; and other nieces and nephews.
Joan was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed.
A remembrance night will be held on Thursday, January 12th, 6-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Private Interment. Memorials can be made to the Gates Ambulance, the Chili Fire Department or the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
