Rochester: Entered into rest August 22, 2010 at age 46. Predeceased by his father, Raymond L. Hockenberry, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Zillah M. "Sally" Hockenberry-Farr; step-father, Edmund Farr; sisters, Susan A. (Jack) Walters, Julie A. Farr, Lynn (Joe) DiBenedetto; brother, Raymond L. Hockenberry, Jr.; 4 nephews; 2 nieces and 2 great-nieces; special friend, Faith Nichols. John was a member of Gilda's Club and retiree from Country Sweet.
Family will receive friends Wednesdy 2-4 and 7-9 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday 1 PM at Covenant United Methodist Church, 1124 Culver Rd. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 1120 South Goodman St., 14620.
