Kenmore: Passed away, Saturday, March 5, 2011, at age 75. Predeceased by his wife, Elaine; first wife, Anna Christie; parents, Ralph and Helen. He is survived by sons, John and Thomas; daughter, Angela (Anthony) DeRose; grandsons, John (Shannon) and Nick Farraro, Sean Gavitt; special friend, Marilyn Goodberlet and her family; fishing friends, Kurt (Barbara) Osterburg, Bill (Martha) Mitchell, Russ (Mary) Eddy, and his faithful companion: his dog, Buddy. John was a barber for 45 years in the Rochester area, a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War. He coached Little League baseball and football in the Gates-Chili area. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had many good friends.
NOTE SERVICE CHANGE: The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 8th from 4-8 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 11th, 10 AM at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 152 Main St., Brockport. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions in John's name may be directed to Anna's Wish, 14 Forest Meadow Trail, Rochester, NY 14624.
