John N. Colaprete Sr.

John N. Colaprete Sr., a beloved figure in the Hilton community, passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2026, at Unity Hospital. Born in Rochester, New York, on December 29, 1960, John was a person whose radiance brightened the lives of all who knew him.

John was the proud owner of National Appliance Service, where he dedicated himself to serving many families in the area. He poured his heart into his work, taking great pride in helping those in need and forming lasting relationships with his customers. His generosity knew no bounds, as he would do anything for anybody, embodying kindness and compassion in all aspects of his life.

To his family, John was an absolutely amazing father and grandfather, deeply devoted to them and cherishing every moment spent together. Survived by his son, John N. Jr., and daughter, Chrystal Colaprete, he leaves behind two adoring grandchildren, Madison and Lilliana, who were often the bright lights of his life. His love for his family was evident in the laughter and warmth they shared, creating precious memories that will forever be treasured.

John is also survived by his brother, Paul, and sister-in-law, Linda. As well as the mother of his children, Donna.

He is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Amelia Colaprete, his brother Tim, and his grandson, Nicholas Jr. Their memories remain in the hearts of his family, along with the countless moments of love and laughter John brought into their lives.

John loved the thrill of motorcycle rides and watching car racing. In his younger days, his adventurous spirit led him to race cars, and dirt bikes, passions that brought him immense joy and excitement throughout his life.

John also really loved his four legged friends, his current dog Bear and especially his late dog Buster.

John will be so missed by so many. He was truly a bright light in the world, leaving behind an indelible legacy of selflessness, love, and joy.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave.

The family looks forward to honoring John’s remarkable spirit and celebrating the wonderful man he was.

John will be missed but always remembered by all the lives he touched.
