John was a proud graduate of Madison high School and was an active member of their alumni. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army. He spent many years with the United States postal service and finally retire as a school bus driver. In 2017, he became a member of the Greece Central Kiwanis club, and in 2020 he was awarded Kiwanian of the year.
John loved the outdoors. He always looked forward to hunting with his sons and brothers. He spent many hours working on projects that would help teach preservation and conservation of wild animals and their habitat. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited where he continued his participation of conservation. He most enjoyed time with his family and friends. He enjoyed tinkering with his truck, and he enjoyed mowing not only his lawn but several neighbors’ lawns also. John will surely be missed by his neighbors. We love him and miss him so very much. So please join us in remembering him on Monday, November 9th @ 2 to 5pm at Newcomer Cremation and Funeral, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. There will be a short prayer service at 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Honor flight of Rochester, the Central West Kiwanis club, Ducks Unlimited and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
