Passed away on, March 18, 2016 at the age of 92.

Predeceased by his, parents, Mildred and Bayless Edens, wife, Edith, and grandson, Craig Edens.

He is survived by his sons, John (Dawn), Dale (Karen), Ned (Lori) and previous daughter-in-law, Leslie, grandchildren, Jeanne (John) Pickens, Chad Edens, Kerry (Don) LoPresti, Tracy (Tim) Kimball, Vanessa (Joseph) Long, Kurt (Melissa) Edens and Olivia (Steve) Edens, 12 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

John was honorably discharged from the Army Air Corps in 1945, and an award winning illustrator.

Family will receive friends 2pm - 4pm, March 26, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Boulevard. A service will follow at 4pm.
