Passed away peacefully on August 26th, 2018 at the age of 89.
Predeceased by his parents, Thomas & Catherine Murray and first wife, Martha. He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Mary Ann; children, Joanna (John) Palvino, John Murray Jr., Elizabeth (Steve) Smith, Mike Murray, Jeffrey (Susan) Murray, Peter Capan, Michael (Dr. Karen Logsdon) Capan, and Cate (Chris) Yaeger; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; nephew, Arthur (Agnes) Murray of Glasgow Scotland and dear friend of 70 years, Elizabeth Duncanson.
Family will receive friends from 1PM - 3PM followed by a service at 3PM on Saturday September 1st 2018 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John's name to, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 ST. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
