John Snyder Shaffer, Jr.

Passed away on September 2, 2025 at the age of 73.

Predeceased by his parents, Katherine and John Shaffer, Sr.; sister, Mary O'Donnell.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, JoEllen Shaffer; son, Ben Shaffer; daughter, Maggie (Jim) Grillo; granddaughters, Mary, Emma and Juliana Grillo; brother, James Stearns; many nieces and nephews.

John retired from Sheet Metal Workers' Local Union 46 after 33 years.

John's Memorial Service will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 25 Empire Blvd. on Saturday at 10AM.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Lollypop Farm in John's memory.
