He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan Pavone Ywaniw; his children, Michael (Kathryn), William Essig, Sherrie Ywaniw-Kelly and John Jr.; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. John was a retiree of Bausch & Lomb after 40 years of service.
