Greece: Passed peacefully Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at age 93 1/2 surrounded by his wife and family. Joseph was loved by all. He was honey, dad, grandpa, grampy, uncle and friend to many. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Chancy Spano Stefanini; daughter, Sharon (William) Baart; grandchildren, Luke Baart and Ramona Baart-Mack; great-grandchildren, Michael Mack, Jessice Baart and Joseph Baart, Jamie Mack; sister, Jenny (Lloyd) Brown; sisters-in-law, Marie Stefanini, Howard (Dolores) Bender; and numerous nieces (Sister, Joan Rocco) and nephews. Joseph was a retiree of Wegmans and Genesee Brewery, a WW II Navy Veteran. He served in Pearl Harbor, Okinawa Iwo Jima Japan.

Friends may call Sunday, September 18, 2011 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., 3-7 PM. His Mass will be held Monday, September 19th at 10 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Grace Monastery Dominican Nuns, 11 Race Hill Rd., N. Guilford, CT. 06437.
