Joseph W. Cote

Passed away, unexpectedly, on June 28, 2026 at the age of 51.

Predeceased by his mother, Linda Pearl; long time friend & mentor, Wayne "Puff" McRobbie.

He is survived by his loving fiance of 16 years, Rebecca "Becky" Sanita; children, Alyssa Cote, Joseph (Daniel) Cote, Karly (Justin) Symonette, Brendon Davis, Paige Sanita, Brooke Lawrence, & Samantha Cote; grandchild, Ramesses "Remy"; siblings, Roger Cote, Amber (Rik) Cote, & Richard "Ricky" Cote; father, Joseph L. Cote; many aunts, cousins, uncles, nieces, nephews & friends.

Joe was the kind of person who seemed to know a little about everything - and if the saying goes, “a jack of all trades is a master of none,” Joe made the rest of it true too: "often better than a master of one." If he put his mind to something, he could do it. Whether he was working on cars, building houses, or finding any excuse to be outdoors, he did it with heart.

He loved hunting, fishing, camping, his Chevys and Harleys, all kinds of music, and most of all spending time with family and friends. Joe was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back and be there any time someone needed him. He never met many strangers, because everyone who crossed paths with him quickly became a friend.

More than anything, Joe will be remembered as a truly good man, one who was deeply loved and whose presence made life better for the people lucky enough to know him.

Inurnment will be held at later date at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY, 14612.
