ROCHESTER- Joseph R. Distler, 74, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021 surrounded by the love of his family.
Joe was born in Rochester, NY, on May 1, 1946 to the late Joseph and Evelyn Distler. On July 2, 1966 Joe married the love of his life, his 'Queen', Jacquie. They were together since they were 15 and married for over 50 years. Together they raised three children. Joe was a loyal employee for Kodak for 35 years until his retirement. He will be remembered for his love of the Buffalo Bills, and cooking. His passion in life was his family.
Joe is predeceased by daughter-in-law, Kimberly Distler, and his brother, David Distler.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jacquie, his children, Mark Distler, Joy Distler, and Judy (Shari) Jerome, his grandchildren, Aedan, Ainsley, Trevor, and Justin, his sisters, Diane (Bob) Myers, Johanna (Ron) Kerridge, and Betty Kolb, and his cherished grand-dogs, Jackson, Bosco, and Zoey.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Current Covid restrictions and social distancing will be enforced.
