Greece: January 14, 2012, at the age of 94 (almost 95). Josephine was predeceased by husband, Charles V. Melnyk; parents, Ralph and Mary; sisters, Louise, Margaret, Antoinette "Ant", Helen and "baby brother" Anthony "Tony"; brothers-in-law, Louie, Tony, Bud. She is survived by sister, Yolanda "Peggy" and sister-in-law, Mary Brescia. Jo leaves her "best friend," daughter, Noreen Andersson; son-in-law, Ulf; granddaughters, Julie (Don) Pelow and Annmarie Andersson; great-grandchildren, Haylee and Melissa Roth, Courtney and Robbie Martin; great-granddog, Oliver; several nieces, nephews and loving friends at Park Ridge Commons.
Family will receive friends 4-8 PM Wednesday at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center.
