Joyce E. Leopold (Smith)
Walworth: Passed away on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2015 at age 74. Predeceased by her parents, Herbert & Mabel Smith. Survived by her husband, Al Leopold; daughters, Jeanette (Raymond) Christianson & Julie Curtis; grandchildren, Gerald (Sheri), Michael, Rebecca (Jeff) Omann, Kasandra, Paul; several great grandchildren; step-children, Valarie (Robert) Avalone; step grandchildren, Chad & Craig Avalone; sister, Marlene Slocum; several nieces & nephews; her many friends; and her beloved dog, Sophie.
Joyce was a life long resident of Walworth, as a child, she and her sister were the inspiration for Mar-Joy Fruit Farms. Joyce graduated from Wayne Central HS, and went on to Buffalo State Collage. Next she enjoyed a handful of jobs including Kodak before making a 30 plus year career at Xerox. Upon retirement she enjoyed traveling the US to visit with family, friends and a nearby campground.
A Memorial Ceremony will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 6th, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester NY 14626. Interment to follow at White Haven Memorial Park.
