Julius L. Helbling, 77, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016.
Formerly of Lockport, NY, he was a long time resident of Irondequiot, NY with his wife, Theresa.
Julius was caring, compassionate and full-of-life. As a Veteran of the US Air Force and retiree of Xerox, he loved spending time in the community helping with events such as the LPGA, flying model plans with RCCR and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors are: wife Theresa (Torba) Helbling; children Ken Helbling, Jennifer Helbling, Julius J. Helbling of Rochester, NY and Michael Helbling (Jennifer Bly) of Philadelphia, PA; daughter-in-law Mandy Helbling of Connecticut; grandchildren Byron Bowen, Honora Bowen, Quentin Bowen, Sophie Larevoy, Casey Daniels, Noah Daniels, William Daniels, Patience Daniels and Kyle Helbling; and several nieces and nephews.
Julius was preceded by his parents, Lucille (Layer) and John Kennedy Helbling; sisters Joan Main, Diane Smith and Fay Huntington; and his son Christopher Helbling.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, March 5th from 9:30 - 11:30 am at the New Comer Funeral Home at 6 Empire Blvd., Rochester, NY. His funeral mass will be held following the calling hours at 12:00 pm at Peace of Christ Parish at St. Ambrose Church, Rochester, NY.
Interment will be held in Spring 2016 at White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, NY.
