June Rose Gizzi

June Rose Gizzi, born May 30, 1942, passed away on September 13, 2026, leaving behind a family knit together by her love, her humor, and the many traditions she made her own. A spunky little lady with a great sense of humor, June was loving, entertaining, and deeply devoted to the people who mattered most to her. Her family and dear friends were her proudest accomplishment, alongside a marriage of 56 years with her beloved husband, Paul Gizzi.

June built a life rooted in hard work and warmth. She worked as a secretary at the Rochester City School District for over 10 years, and she also sold Avon for many years, bringing her friendly spirit wherever she went. She had a gift for making everyday life brighter, whether through conversation, laughter, or the welcoming way she gathered people around her.

She found joy in the things she loved wholeheartedly. June loved to read, especially her James Patterson Women’s Murder Club books, and she enjoyed many hours with the Hallmark Channel. She treasured traveling with Paul, taking cruises and seeing sights across the United States. Together, she and Paul also loved attending the Rochester Broadway Theatre League, where they held season tickets year after year. At home, June was often at the center of celebration, remembered for her big Memorial Day and birthday bash cookout and for always hosting the holiday get-togethers that brought everyone together.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gizzi, and by her parents, Peter and Mary Noto.

June’s love continues in the lives of those who survive her. She is survived by her son, John Gizzi, and Michele; by her daughter, June C. Gizzi; and by her daughter, Gina Coviello, and Mark. She is also survived by her grandsons, Zachary, Cory, and Gianni, and by her great-grandchildren, Brilynn, Dominic, and Everleigh. She leaves her sister, Debbie Niggli, and Norman; her nieces Holly, Heather, and Margaret; and many dear friends. Each of them carries forward memories of her laughter, her hospitality, and the unmistakable spark she brought into every room.

Family and friends may call on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, Eastside, 6 Empire Blvd, Rochester, New York 14609. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia’s, 2732 Culver Road, Rochester, New York 14622, followed by inurnment at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Lake Avenue, Rochester, New York 14612.

June Rose Gizzi will be remembered for the life she filled with family, friendship, laughter, books, travel, and celebration. Her presence was a gift, and her memory will remain a lasting comfort to all who knew and loved her.
