Karen Lynn Hamilton

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karen Lynn Hamilton, who left us peacefully on April 16, 2025 at the age of 67 after navigating cancer for the past ten years. She was surrounded by family and friends each day leading up to her passing and she will be profoundly missed.

Karen was born on May 20, 1957 in Rochester, NY to Joseph Kozlowski and the late Charlene Kozlowski. As one of two daughters, she maintained a close-knit relationship with her sister, Susan (Jerry) Cicero, throughout their lives, and was a proud aunt to niece Jenna (Chris) Cortash and nephew Jacob (Jennifer) Cicero. Karen was also a loving and devoted mother, providing endless and unwavering support to her children, Ashley (Brian) Caimano and Travis Atwater; and she adored her five grandchildren; Charlotte, Isaac, Atticus, Alena, and Hayleigh. Karen married the love of her life, Jack Hamilton, in 2007 and together they shared a loving partnership full of laughter, fellowship, and music for the past 17 years.

A visitation will be held on Sunday May 4, 2025, from 2-3PM, with a service to follow at 3PM, at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd, Rochester, NY 14609.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Spiritus Christi, an organization that was very important to Karen.

Karen always thought of others and was known for her kindness and generosity. Her warmth and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.
