Karen Robertson

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

Karen Robertson was known for her bright smile, spunky energy and for giving the most loving hugs. She passed away on Feb. 3, at the age of 55.

In January, Karen moved to her new home on State Road from her home on Buffalo Road, where she had lived since 2002. She also attended the day program at the Jewish Home of Rochester, and before that, participated in the day program at Rodwell for many years.

Making new friends was important to her, and she loved all people, especially her housemates and Heritage Christian staff members. Christmas and Thanksgiving were her favorite holidays and she loved celebrating with those she held most dear. Karen had a wonderful sense of humor, and always found ways to make people laugh. She enjoyed going out to dinner and shopping and loved celebrating her birthday with desserts and chocolate. Karen had a deep connection to music, always moving and grooving when it was played. When she was younger, she enjoyed showing off her baton twirling skills to the beat.

A Disney lover, she enjoyed traveling to Walt Disney World in Florida, to see The Lion King Musical in New York City and to Atlanta with her friends.

She brought much joy to the world and will be deeply missed.

Karen was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Janice Robertson. She is survived by her sister Pamela Robertson; and brothers Alan, Howard, Brian and Evan Robertson.

Visitation will be held 12:00pm - 2:00pm Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at New Comer Cremations and Funeral, 6 Empire Blvd.
