Karen J. Wicks, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, left this world peacefully on January 17, 2026, in Rochester, NY. Born on May 22, 1943, in Canandaigua, NY, Karen lived a life filled with love and adventure.
After graduating from Canandaigua High School, she dedicated 30 years of her professional life to General Motors, where she was highly regarded for her commitment and work ethic. Karen embraced her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother with an open heart and took great joy in being a great grandmother.
Karen was known for her vibrant personality and had a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. She found joy in collecting teddy bears and anything related to Christmas. Her interests also included online shopping with QVC, sharing cookies with her two grand-dogs, and spending joyous moments with friends over lunch.
She is survived by her sons, Todd (Colleen) and Dean; her grandchildren, Richard (Miranda) LaRock, Michael (Sierra), Phillip (Hannah), and Amber Wicks; her great grandson, Levi; her loving sister, Donna (John) Campbell, along with many nieces, nephews, and numerous close friends who were a significant part of her life. Her warmth and cheer will be missed by all who knew her.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; her parents, Mary and James Muscato; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Russell & Louise Wicks; and several other family members.
A Mass in her honor will be held at St. Mary's Church, located at 95 N Main St., Canandaigua, NY, on March 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, 130 N Pearl St., Canandaigua, NY, at 12:15 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Karen's life and the lasting impact she made on those around her.
