Katherine Bradstreet Allen

99, peacefully joined her Lord Jesus Christ on July 17, 2016.
Born and raised in Rochester, NY, she received a BA from Hillsdale College and a MA from Columbia University. Honorably serving the US Navy during WWII as a Pharmacist's Mate, she later worked as principal of the City Nursery School in Oak Ridge, TN., where she met and married Charles F. Allen, a physicist. Schenectady, NY was home for the Allen family for 50 years until Katherine relocated to Beth Sholom Terraces in Virginia Beach, VA near her only daughter. As a faithful Christian, she remained committed to the Lord throughout her life with a sincere love for the Jewish people. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Charles and their daughter, Katherine Margaret.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 30 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rochester, NY.
