Kathleen May Winebrenner, a cherished and beloved member of the Rochester community, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, at Rochester General Hospital. Born on November 12, 1947, in Rochester, New York, Kathleen lived a life filled with kindness, dedication, and a deep love for the world around her.

For many years, Kathleen devoted herself to her career at Turner Bellows in Rochester, where she worked diligently, earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Her commitment was a testament to her strong work ethic and her unwavering loyalty to her community.

Beyond her professional life, Kathleen was known by all who knew her as a nurturing soul with a heart that extended far beyond her immediate circle. She was a devoted cat lover, often seen taking time to care for the neighborhood's stray cats, ensuring they were fed and cared for with gentle hands. Her compassion was not limited to the ground; her bird feeder was a constant, welcoming a variety of flying friends each day, symbolizing her open-hearted embrace of nature's simple beauties.

Kathleen’s family was the center of her universe. She is survived by her loving daughter Dawn Winebrenner, who shares her life with Clark Angarano, and her devoted son Ronald Winebrenner Jr. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren—Robert (Shawna) Halter, Shyla Badagliacca, and Nico Badagliacca—each carrying pieces of her warmth and wisdom. Her great-grandchildren, Brayden Halter and Robert Halter Jr., continue to bring joy and light to her enduring memory.

She also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Christine Vastola and Ginger Post, along with nieces and several cousins who deeply felt the loss of such a tender and generous soul.

Kathleen’s life was marked by an enduring love for her family and a genuine kindness that touched many. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald Winebrenner Sr., whose memory she cherished deeply.

Though Kathleen has departed from this world, the memories of her gentle spirit, her acts of kindness to animals and friends alike, and her loving presence will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. Her legacy is one of compassion, dedication, and an unyielding love for life and family—a beacon of warmth in the hearts of all she touched. A gathering will take place later at the convenience of her family.
