Born October 3, 1966, Katrina passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, at the age of 59.
Katrina was preceded in death by her mother, June Flynn, and her brother, Richard King. She is survived by her loving children, Joshua (Haleigh) Detro, Megan (Shane Maynard) Detro, Joseph (Samantha) Detro, Will (Melissa) Kelly, and John Detro; her cherished grandchildren, Ley-Vante, Brian,Justin, Zachary, Lamear, Emma, Tyler, and Angelo; her son-in-law, Daniel Sanders; her brothers, Ron King and Mike King; her sister, Pattie Bellanca Ball; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who loved her deeply.
Katrina was an incredible woman whose strength, wisdom, and spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. She carried knowledge far beyond her years and lived her life with compassion, always putting others before herself. She taught her family what it meant to love unconditionally, to stand their ground, and to face life with courage and resilience.
She was a devoted mother and an extraordinary grandmother, whose love was felt in every moment shared. Her smile and laughter could light up any room, and her presence brought comfort, strength, and peace. If you needed her, she was there—without hesitation, without question.
Katrina was free-spirited, strong-willed, and unapologetically herself. She carried a quiet power, a deep pride, and a heart that gave endlessly. She instilled values, ethics, and determination into her family that will live on for generations. To those who knew her, she was nothing short of magical and majestic.
Though she is no longer with us physically, her spirit, her love, and everything she stood for will never leave us.
