Predeceased by his wife, Carol Blakely. Son, Richard Blakely.
Survived by his daughter, Sandra and son in law, Patrick Schneider. Granddaughters, Ally (Jacob), Carly (Aaron). Several in laws, many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Kurt loved fixing things, he loved science and spending time with his family. Kurt was always ready to help anyone in a time of need. He was very proud of his granddaughters. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
The family will receive friends from 4-6pm, Monday August 24, 2026 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (west of Long Pond Rd.) Following visitation, a memorial service will be held promptly at 6pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment is private.
